About Jude

Jude is an AI that knows you and helps you with what's actually hard.

The conversation tomorrow. The relationship you have been avoiding. The promotion this quarter. The version of yourself you are trying to grow into.

Built around a real model of who you actually are: your defaults under pressure, the gap between how you want to come across and how you tend to.

FOUNDATIONSWhat sets Jude apart

What makes Jude different

Three things, all true at once.

Jude knows who you actually are.

Not "Jude has remembered some preferences you mentioned." Not "Jude has built a profile of your goals."

Most AI is generic by default. You can prompt it to act like it knows you, but the knowing is performance. Jude gets sharper over time as it learns who you actually are. That sharpness comes from a real model of you, built on actual research about how people work, not from clever prompting.

Jude refuses to make things up.

Jude is built to ground responses in real research about how people work. Tap "why" on any response to see the framework, the principle, the research it came from.

When Jude cannot ground a response in something real, Jude says so. No making up a plausible-sounding answer. No hallucinating a citation. The refusal is the signal that the rest of what Jude tells you can be trusted.

A sample observation, with the grounding visible

You tend to apologize before you're sure you've done anything wrong. This shows up most when you're navigating disagreement with someone whose opinion you weight heavily.

Traced to your own conversations

Conversation 3

I told her I was sorry for bringing it up, even though she was the one who asked.

Conversation 7

I apologized in the email before I even explained what I was confused about.

Conversation 12

He looked annoyed and I immediately said I shouldn't have brought it up.

Jude's observations about you are always grounded in your own words.

Jude is built to help you act, not to keep you using it.

No streaks. No notifications nagging you back. No "you have not opened Jude in three days" emails. No gamification.

When you no longer need Jude, you should leave. That is the product working correctly. One-tap cancellation, no retention screens, no "are you sure" interstitials.

Who Jude is for

People in their twenties figuring out what their lives are going to be.

Recent grads. Early-career professionals. First-time managers. People in their first serious relationships. People in their first apartments-of-their-own. People who just emerged from thirteen to twenty-two years of school and are now expected to make major life decisions without much practice at making them.

If you have been using ChatGPT as a coach because nothing dedicated knows you well enough, that is what Jude is for.

USAGETwo ways to use Jude

What Jude does

Two ways to use it.

Conversations. Type what is on your mind. Get a real response in under a minute, grounded in named research, calibrated to what Jude has learned about you. The conversation tomorrow. The text you are about to send. The boundary you are trying to set. The hard talk you just had and are still processing.

Arcs. For the goals, relationships, and transitions you are navigating over weeks or months. The promotion you are building toward, the friendship you are repairing, the move you are planning, the version of yourself you are trying to grow into. Multi-week work with weekly anchors and specific moves, adapted to what actually happens as it unfolds.

FOUNDERWho built this

About Sam

Sam Marsh built Jude because nothing else knew him well enough to be useful.

His doctoral research focuses on the cost of academic conformity. The gap between who people learn to be in institutional environments and who they actually are, and how that gap shows up at exactly the moments that matter most: hard conversations, career decisions, relationships, the version of yourself you're trying to grow into.

Before Jude, Sam spent years using general-purpose AI as a coach and noticing the same limitation every time. The AI was smart. It just didn't know him. By the time he'd re-explained himself for the fifth time, the conversation was over.

Jude is what he wished existed.

What Jude does not do

General AI tasks unrelated to who you are or what you are navigating. Writing code, planning travel, summarizing documents, generating recipes. Not what Jude is for, and there are good general-purpose tools for that.

Substantive medical, legal, or financial advice. Jude can help you figure out how to talk to your doctor, how to break the news to your family, how to ask your parents for help. But the diagnosis, the legal opinion, the investment call, those are not Jude's job.

Therapy in the clinical sense. Jude is not a licensed clinician. If you are in genuine crisis, Jude will tell you that and point you to qualified resources. Jude is for the everyday hard stuff, not the clinical hard stuff.

What Jude will never do

Sell your data. Manipulate you with dark patterns. Send you notifications designed to pull you back. Optimize for engagement at the cost of your wellbeing. Pretend to know things it does not. Tell you what you want to hear when it should tell you the truth.

These are not features Jude added. These are commitments Jude was built around.

PHILOSOPHYThe thinking underneath

How Jude is built

That research is the engine underneath Jude. You will never see the vocabulary; you will feel the effects. Jude treats your defaults as adaptive responses to environments you have lived in, not as character flaws. The kid who learned to defer to keep peace at home is now an adult who defers in salary negotiations. That is not a flaw. That is a strategy that worked until it did not.

Jude is built to help you notice the gap, when you want to look at it, and act from the version of yourself that fits you rather than the version you learned to be for everyone else.

Your conversations stay yours. Jude doesn't sell, share, or train models on your data. The privacy policy has the full details.
