Privacy Policy

The short version
Jude collects only what is needed to help you well. We do not sell your data. We do not show you ads. We do not let advertisers pay to influence what Jude tells you. Your conversations are used to make Jude sharper for you specifically, not to train models that serve other people.
You can delete your account at any time. When you do, your data is deleted. No "data retention for analytics purposes" loophole. Gone means gone.
What Jude collects
Conversations. What you type to Jude and what Jude responds. These are stored so Jude can remember context across sessions. The friend who knew nothing about you yesterday is not the friend you want.
Profile reads. As you talk with Jude, Jude builds a working model of you: what you reach for under pressure, how you describe people, what kinds of help land for you. These reads inform every response and are stored alongside your account.
Account information. Your email address (used to sign you in via magic link; we do not use passwords). Your subscription status if you upgrade to the depth tier.
Usage telemetry. Basic metrics about whether features are working: error rates, response times, that kind of thing. Not behavioral surveillance.
What Jude does not collect
No browsing data beyond Jude. What you do on other sites or apps is not Jude's business and we do not collect it.
No microphone or camera access. Jude is text-based.
No contact list access. Jude does not know who your friends are unless you tell her in conversation.
No location tracking. Jude does not need to know where you are.
No third-party trackers. No Facebook pixel, no Google Analytics tracking individual users, no advertising trackers. The site and app are designed to leave you alone when you are not using them.
What Jude does with your data
Help you. Your conversations and profile reads are used to make Jude's responses to you sharper, calibrated to who you actually are.
Improve Jude. Aggregate, anonymized patterns may inform how Jude is built going forward. Your specific conversations are not used to train AI models that serve other users.
Comply with applicable law when required by valid legal process.†
What Jude never does with your data
Sell it. Not to advertisers, data brokers, AI training data resellers, or anyone else. Not now, not ever. This is a commitment, not a current-policy-subject-to-change.
Use it for advertising. Jude does not show you ads. Jude does not let third parties target you through Jude. No partner gets to pay to have Jude recommend their product.
Share it with employers, schools, or insurance companies. Even if they ask. Even with a subpoena, we will resist where we can.
Train models that serve other users on your specific conversations. Your conversations are yours. They make Jude better for you, not better for everyone.
Children
Jude is not designed for users under 18 and we do not knowingly collect data from anyone under 18. If you are under 18, please do not use Jude.†
Your controls
See what Jude knows about you. Open the "About you" page anytime. Everything Jude has inferred about you is visible there, in plain language.
Disagree with Jude's reads. When something Jude has inferred about you does not feel right, tell Jude. The disagreement lowers Jude's confidence. Jude does not overwrite her read with yours, but she holds the read more lightly.
Edit your stated information. Calibration values you have given Jude can be changed anytime from the same surface.
Delete your account. One tap. Your data is deleted.†

How Jude protects you
Account creation is deferred until you need it. You can use Jude without an account for some time. We do not require sign-up to demonstrate value.
Passwordless auth. No passwords to be breached. Magic-link sign-in via email.
Conversations stored server-side, transmitted over TLS. Standard secure-transmission practices.†
No surveillance patterns. Jude does not track engagement metrics that exist to manipulate you. No "time spent" optimization, no notification spam, no streaks.
Changes to this policy
If we change this policy, we will tell you directly. Not bury it in a "we updated our terms" email you ignore.†
