The short version

By using Jude, you agree to these terms. We try to make Jude useful and honest. You take responsibility for the decisions you make with Jude's help, because Jude is a tool and you are the person living your life.

You can stop using Jude anytime. We do not lock you in.

What Jude is

Jude is an AI conversational tool that helps you with communication moments and longer-arc goals. Jude is not a licensed therapist, doctor, lawyer, or financial advisor.

Jude is built to give you angles for thinking about hard things, grounded in named research you can verify. The decisions you make are yours.

What you agree to when you use Jude

Use Jude lawfully. Do not use Jude to harm yourself or others, to plan illegal activity, to harass anyone, or for any purpose that would be illegal where you are.

Be at least 18. Jude is designed for adults. If you are under 18, please do not use Jude.

Take responsibility for your decisions. Jude can help you think through hard situations. The choices you make in those situations are yours. Jude is not legally responsible for the outcomes of decisions you make based on conversations with Jude.

Do not try to make Jude do harmful things. This includes prompt injection, jailbreaking, or otherwise trying to circumvent Jude's design. [Specific anti-abuse language awaiting legal review.]

What we agree to

Make Jude as useful and honest as we can. Jude is grounded in named research. Jude refuses to make things up. When Jude does not know something, Jude says so.

Respect your privacy. Per our Privacy Policy. No selling of data, no advertising, no surveillance patterns.

Let you leave cleanly. One-tap cancellation. No retention friction. No "are you sure" interstitials. Your data is deleted when you delete your account.

Tell you about material changes. We will not bury changes in fine print. [Specific notification mechanisms awaiting legal review.]

Subscription terms

Acute tier. Free. Subject to a monthly conversation cap that resets each month. The exact cap may change over time as we tune against real usage; we will tell you what the current cap is in-product.

Depth tier. $12 per month. Charged monthly. No annual commitment. Cancel anytime with one tap.

When you cancel. Your subscription remains active through the end of your current billing period. After that, your access reverts to the acute tier (or you can delete your account entirely). We do not pro-rate refunds for partial months. [Jurisdiction-specific pro-rating requirements awaiting legal review.]

Payment processing. Via Stripe. We never see or store your full credit card information.

What Jude is not

Not therapy. Jude is not a licensed mental health professional and does not treat mental health conditions. If you are in genuine crisis, Jude will tell you that and point you to qualified resources. See the clinical disclaimer for more.

Not medical, legal, or financial advice. Jude can help you think through how to talk to your doctor or what to ask your lawyer. Jude cannot diagnose, prescribe, render legal opinions, or give investment advice.

Not a replacement for human relationships. Jude can help you communicate with people in your life. Jude is not designed to replace those people.

Limitations and disclaimers

A few specific things worth knowing:

Jude can be wrong. Even with research grounding, Jude can give you advice that does not fit your situation. Use your judgment.

Jude does not know everything about you. Even with the dimensional model, there is plenty about your life Jude does not see. The advice Jude gives is based on what Jude can read; it cannot account for what you have not shared.

The follow-through is yours. Jude can help you prepare for a hard conversation. Whether that conversation actually goes well depends on what you do, what the other person does, and many things outside Jude's view.

Account suspension and termination

Changes to these terms

The spirit-of-the-terms commitments above are not changeable without a substantive product-level decision. The mechanics-of-the-terms language may evolve as the product evolves and as legal requirements change.

Disputes
